The script that provides the user with the Skyra template needs two cookies in order for the tool to work properly and behave the way users want and expect.
Name | Method of operation | Purpose |
skyra.state. | The user's device has a random code assigned to it. | Using this, Skyre can remember the user and whether surveys are open/closed/completed. |
Skyra. | This cookie stores the answers the user has given while the answers are given. Depending on the setup of the survey, this is either a session cookie or a capsule that is deleted after a few hours. The capsule is deleted regardless when a survey is completed or closed. | This cookie is used by Skyra to display the right card while the user navigates different pages. |
These are first-party cookies. This means that they are created using a snippet of code that is run on the website where Skyra is added. Both capsules have a duration of 365 days. Both are of the functional cookie type.
Beyond the insights respondents share in the survey, the Skyra code collects the following information:
Browser name and version
Operating system
Type of device (mobile, tablet, pc/mac)
Anonymized IP addresses where we determine the city, but not the exact address
How fast a line the user has (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G)
The URL where the survey taker submitted their answer
