The start-up meeting with Skyra

A kick-off meeting is the basis for a kick-off and further successful collaboration between Skyra and our customers. This meeting is about ensuring that both parties have a common understanding of goals, needs and processes. Here we provide an overview of what a kick-off meeting entails and what happens afterwards.

The start-up meeting is based on this presentation.

Duration and structure

The kick-off meeting usually lasts 45-60 minutes, depending on questions and discussions along the way. It is a structured review led by us at Skyra, where we focus on:

  1. Introduction and agreement - We introduce the collaboration, the agreement and any practical details.

  2. Understanding customer needs - We discuss your work, projects and goals to emphasize what is most relevant to you.

  3. Possibilities with Skyra - A quick review of key functionality in Skyra. We show key features and provide tips for use.

  4. Top tasks: Process and timeline - We show the process for top tasks and how this is done in Skyra.

  5. Help articles and support - An introduction to the resources we offer to get you started and help you along the way.

  6. Division of responsibilities - We clarify who does what to get started. This is based on the "Tasks after the kick-off meeting" list in this article.

Customer preparation

We ask customers to prepare by reflecting on the following questions:

  1. Why do you need user insight and what will it be used for?

  2. Which question is most important for you to answer?

  3. Are you facing any specific projects or challenges when working with websites?

  4. Have you worked with user insight before and if so, how?
(E.g. user testing, user surveys, web analytics)

  5. What other tools do you use for web analytics, user surveys and the like?

This helps us customize the meeting and recommendations to your situation.

Tasks after the kick-off meeting

These are common post-startup meeting tasks, aimed at those about to get started with top tasks! Required resources for these items can be found in the next section.

  • Inviting users - Skyra sends email invitations to one member of your team with login credentials. The customer then invites additional users as needed.
    How to invite users

  • Survey setup - Skyra recommends starting with Discovery Survey. Use the planning document (word) to clarify questions and formulations. Then create the survey in Skyra, based on the document.

  • Check that the data processing agreement is signed
Optionally download our standard agreement here.

  • Publish the survey - The customer "pushes the button" and starts the survey. Discovery Survey collects at least 500 responses over at least 4 weeks. If the website has enough traffic, it's fine to collect just over 1,000 responses for more nuances in the results.
    How to publish a survey

  • We can have another status meeting in 4-6 weeks where we look at results and plan the summit survey. Duration 1 hour. The customer gets in touch with their contact person or at [email protected].

GDPR tips

  1. Use the GDPR checklist to make sure everything is in place.

  2. Get to know the functionality related to GDPR (e.g. deletion/masking)

For example, a typical timeline might look like this:

  • Week 1: Complete the to-do list from the kick-off meeting.
