1.0 Top task reporting
One of our goals at Skyra is to be the worlds best top task insights tool. We're not there yet but in December we've focused a lot on some key capabilities in top task reporting
1.1 Refreshed task list
The main focus for the task list have been performance, but we found time to include breakdown on mobile/desktop for completion rates right in the task list. Segmentation is a key activity to understand where opportunity lies, and for most web applications its likely that there are top tasks that differ greatly between mobile and desktop. Now you can easily and quickly find these differences.
1.2 Signal for insignificant completion rates
We also made it clearer when there are too few responses to reliably use the completion rate.
1.3 Task page segments
Faster and better task segments. We've made sure task segments load much faster, we've redone the layout, made them sortable and tweaked the graphs. These stats were at times very slow and janky but now they feel a lot more natural.
1.4 Find text feedbacks for a single task faster.
Previously you had to use the responses table to scan for text feedbacks; This was cumbersome and quite ineffective. We've let the task page adopt the survey reports input card widget. For a single task this will list every input card that shares a survey with the task. So the list of widgets can be long or short, depending on your setup.
Responses moved to its own view and only showing relevant columns.
Overview is focused on top level reporting and then when you need to dig deeper you can use responses.
2.0 Performance and whats next
The main focus of December have been performance and counting database query milliseconds. The task list is already mentioned as having been tuned a lot, but if you use Findability you should also have a much faster experience. The Summary page, survey report and recruitment page have also been improved a lot.
We've also improved the performance of loading the survey widget a bit.
The introduction of teams saw some performance regressions, but most of the performance we're unhappy with is just a result of the amount of data and its complexity.
January will primarily be focused on performance and stability, and minor features.
Survey report and survey list have potential for several optimisations
We will add survey responses as a tab like Top tasks have now, if you only need to see responses from 1 survey this will allow us to make a number of assumptions we can't make on the overall Responses page
Data ingestion from the surveys can be made more resilient
We plan to make survey publishing clearer and easier to understand
